Rules:
Based on the rules of the WKF with the corresponding adjustments for the DKV (competition rules) in the version valid as of 2022-01-01.
If deviations are defined, these are described or published by the organizers at the beginning of the event.
Duration of bout:
1:00 min U8
1:30 min U10, U12 and U14
2:00 min U16 and U18

Protection equipment (obligatory):
Fist, foot and shin protector in blue and red, gum shields; groin protection for boys; chest protectors for girls (starting U12).
Shin protectors can be kept during color change.
Belts in blue and red.
Coaches:
Coaches have to wear sport clothes.
Judges:
The judges operate in mirror system (2 jugdes and kansa).
System (evaluation):
The bouts take place in groups of 3 to 7 fighters. For more than 7 fighters pools of at least 4 participants are set up.
(Pool) winner is, who won most of the bouts. For every bout won (except for Hantei) the fighter gets 3 points.
If a bout is decided in the Hantei, the victory gets 2 and the underdog gets 1 point, no matter of the result of the Hantei.
If there is no clear result in the winning bouts, the difference in the sub-evaluations and then the positive
evaluations are compared. If all this criteria lead to no result, extra bout will take place between all „matched“, as long as it is necessary for the determination
of the first and second places of the pool and the places 1 to 3 of the category
